About
A search API, and a public record of what it returns.
The idea
Search APIs are sold on adjectives. Accurate, reliable, comprehensive — every provider claims all three, and none of them shows you the results.
So we publish ours. 4,185 queries a week from the United States, a smaller sample from nine more countries, 82,620 observations and counting, all produced by the endpoint on the pricing page. If the data is good, that is visible. If it is not, that is visible too.
The name
Serpens is the only constellation split into two halves, separated by a third. It seemed apt for a product about the gap between what ranks and what gets cited — and the Latin means snake, which is where the logo comes from.
